I cried reading your story thinking of my own mom going to Dead shows in the 80s & 90s ~ then introducing me to the music ~ then rejecting it like you did when I was about 14 ~ and later finding it at the time I needed the Grateful Dead the most { she died suddenly when I was 16 years old.
